DESCRIPTION
This high-density housing development in Germany incorporates a series of small plazas, play areas and water in many forms. Since there is little space for retention and infiltration on site, the rain water is collected on site and on rooftops in cisterns under the houses and re-used for washing machines, toilet flushing and irrigation. A stream, fed by rain water, flows through the houses alongside a small, informal footpath that provides a sense of nature in the development and connects play areas with water play children.
