Decentralized EnergyThis is a featured page

DEFINITION
An energy grid that accepts inputs from multiple energy generation sources both small and large. Energy producers and users may be connected through an Internet like communication system which maximizes available energy by storing excess energy for use during peak energy times and prioritizing use by designating nonessential energy uses as a lower priority during peak energy load times. Ideally the grid would be minimized with energy inputs being used immediately with as little transmission distance (and power loss) as possible as opposed to inefficient storage and transmission of energy.
