DESCRIPTION
All Pavement to Parks projects are streetscapes in San Francisco that feature underutilized pavement areas, whether for transit, car, bicycle, or pedestrian use. The City of San Francisco took the initiative to change vehicular access to these spaces, and allow more human-oriented spaces to propagate the newly claimed area. Initially, there have been very cheap and minimal changes to the spaces to set up "trial runs." After thorough observation at several month intervals, the SF Planning Department will decide if the spaces are reliable social connectors, and if further enhancement of the spaces will benefit the area.
