DEFINITION
Lanes that are shared by both cars and bicycle. The lanes have special arrow markings within to help alert cars to take caution and allow cyclists to safely travel in these lanes when striping is not possible.

AKA
Shared-lane marking, similar to segregated bicycle facilities.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
Number of bicyclists riding on them? Quantity of conflicts between bicyclists and motorists? And conflicts between them and door zone? Reduction of the incidence of sidewalk riding by bicyclists? Reduction of the occurrence of bicyclists riding against the flow of traffic.
