2PDESCRIPTIONThis 70-acre park was built in 1982 on a reclaimed industrial site in a densely populated part of Mexico City, an area very much in need of public park space. The heart of the park is a lake that speaks to the rich history of the lake system that once filled the valley of Mexico and is filled with recycled water from a nearby housing development. The rolling hills that surround the lake echo the regions topography and were created using earth from the metro excavations. The richly planted hills are filled with trails, seating areas, and an amphitheater.
