soil mix

The soil seems VERY sandy to me. Does anyone know the soil spec? The bark dust for mulch looks like a mistake - and is messy. has any monitoring been done on this system for water quality or water quantity.
I am a little reluctant to send this to clients just yet as the pics aren't such good examples of very healthy or robust plantings - anybody have more recent photos?
All the same its a great example of a tight squeeze.
AND better than pipes.

hi kas,

the final design work was done by KPFF so maybe someone over there has it. i've heard some similar grumbling about the execution over at our office. not sure if they even had an LA involved by the looks of the soil, mulch, and plants. maybe we need a guerrila gardening team to go give it some latenight love. i'll see if i can find out more from some of the folks that were involved in the early work and the CAM (client assistance memo) for DPD (dept. of planning and development).

cheers, nate
